Here is an interesting question.
Does God have a particular way that he wants us (humanity) to be?
Well this question only has relevance to those who believe in God. Secondly, to believe that God does have a preference as to how he would like humanity to be, falls right in line with religious thought and belief. Lastly, if God does not have a particular way I which he wants us to be, then does that not fall directly in line with the present reality of humanity having and experiencing free will?
Can, and do you as parents, envision and hold some very lofty aspirations for your own children? Yet even though you want nothing but the best for them, do you try to control every aspect of their lives so that they conform completely to your own vision of how their life should be,…or do you let them live their own lives?
If you allow your own children a great amount of freedom, don’t you think God is capable of being able to do the same with humanity? Why is control such a big issue with religion, and religious interpretation of God?
